The MACINTOSH Fiber Laryngoscope Blade with a satin finish in Fig. 1 is designed for direct laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation in operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics. The fiber-optic bundle carries light from the handle to the distal tip for a clear view of the glottis, while the curved MACINTOSH profile supports gentle displacement of the tongue and epiglottis. The satin finish reduces glare from surgical lighting, helping maintain visualization during intubation. This blade is intended for use with compatible laryngoscope handles and is suitable for standard adult and select pediatric airway management when the Fig. 1 size is clinically appropriate.
